The WNBA playoff race is shaping up with three teams already clinching and the season ending is just under a month away. Today’s games feature two teams who are still very much in the playoff race and two teams who aren’t. Yes, one of these games is more exciting than the other, but if there are games to bet on, I’m happy.  When betting, monitor any news and shop around for the best odds. This is the best way to get ahead of the books. The difference between -110 and -120 may not seem big, but it’s a big difference throughout an entire season. Either way, let’s get to my favorite bets of the day.

Sunday’s Best WNBA Bets

Las Vegas Aces vs. Chicago Sky

It may be tempting to take the Aces spread of -7.5 here considering Chicago is 4-9 ATS at home but Las Vegas is similar on the road with a 4-7 record ATS and 10-17 as a favorite. Taking the Under is my simple version of fading both teams’ offenses here. Since the All-Star break, both offenses rank in the bottom half of the league with both squads going 1-3 in their last four games. The pacing has been down for the Aces while it remains near the bottom of the pack for the Sky. Las Vegas is the worst offensive-rebounding team in the league, giving me confidence that there won’t be many second-chance opportunities for the road team here. Still, the total seems to be set at a number taking the seasonal averages of these two teams but neither squad is playing at the level right now. Make sure to shop around for this one as I’ve seen varying numbers and it only seems to continue dropping. I’d throw two units on this bet because everything is lining up for a perfect storm of limited scoring.

Play: Under 168.5 Total Points (-108)

Los Angeles Sparks at Dallas Wings

Two teams scraping the bottom of the barrel for the WNBA playing a stand-alone weekend game? Sign me up twice, please. While the Los Angeles Sparks facing the Dallas Wings may not be the primetime game we were expecting, there is an easy side here to take, and it revolves around some clear trends. Los Angeles this season is 9-5 ATS on the road while Dallas is 3-9 ATS at home. Those numbers go to Dallas being 1-5 as a favorite against the spread while the Sparks are a little over .500 as an underdog. The Sparks are a clean 2-1 against Dallas this season and actually play their best basketball against the Wings with the highest net rating against them than any other team. Yes, the Sparks are dealing with significant injuries and have some game-time decisions tonight, but Dallas has had the single worst defense in the league since the All-Star Break so it’s not like Los Angeles really needs a miracle here to keep up. Both teams play similar styles in terms of pace and as shown before, there isn’t much home-court advantage for the favored six-win team. I would feel comfortable throwing a sprinkle on Sparks ML but the play here is easily them covering the spread.

Play: Sparks +6.5 (-112)
